Peter Schanz is taking a rubber dinghy along, just in case. Who knows what to expect when hitchhiking from Basel to Stettin: cross-country by water.
His camera has captured what happens on the barges, how the boatmen live and what to see when you change your perspective and leave the riverbank to watch the German countryside leisurely unfold from the railing of the boat.
This exhibition presents documentary snapshots taken during his 1538 km long journey on Germany’s waterways.
