PRINCE is a photographic appreciation of a father: With a man whom his friends, his family and anybody acquainted with him only ever call by this name. To Huw Alden Davies, his father John appeared larger than life and beyond reach from a child’s perspective. He now portrays him with keen intuition as he charts his eccentricities, the turning points and ups and downs of his life.
The accompanying text enables the protagonists themselves to comment with outspoken sharpness and frequently laconic wit. The result is an empathetic pictorial account of a life lived.
