6 November – 18 December 2016
Auschwitz is a minutely scrutinised place that has been researched for decades, with millions of visitors attending every year. Yet a nearly unknown sphere exists right next to the camps: The home of people whose historical and biographical stroke of fate has turned them into neighbours of these places of horror and who live their everyday lives here.
The photographers Kai Loges and Andreas Langen (die arge lola) have been investigating these zones at the fault line between past and present for more than a year. This exhibition shows the first images of their extensive and on-going research.
